Farming...In the Woods!!
We are Audra Sandridge and Brian McReynolds. Trossachs Woodland Farm for us is a dream that began as a seed inside of our very soul. The first time that I saw a National Geographic magazine featuring the botanical life within the Amazon I was convinced that one day I, myself, would be a botanist making medicine in the rainforest...I was six at the time...At Trossachs Woodland Farm we are building our very own Appalachian Rain Forest. Native plants and Appalachian woodland medicinals fill our forest floor. Planting these roots is something that literally we cannot stop doing! As the real Amazon becomes increasingly vulnerable to destruction and native plants across the United States are unethically over-harvested the need for replenishment and sustainable forest grown products has never been so great. Help us to continue to build this Appalachian Amazon by supporting our business through your partnership, sales and promotion of us and our cause.
In Tune Sessions...Develop your practice and indulge in mindfulness as you focus on health for your entire being. Begin with a customized Tai Chi practice and optional Reiki session to align with the session goal and progress through a discussion of herbal allies while on a woodland meditation walk. The session ends with the incorporation of foraged items into a specialized project to seal in our intention. Pricing: $45/person. Email email@example.com to sign up and get In Tune!
Forest farming is defined as intentionally planting and harvesting edible, medicinal or non-timber forest products. It does not include the gathering of naturally occurring plants from native forests known as wild-crafting. At Trossachs Woodland Farm ..nature is our way of life. Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains we forage, farm and produce artistic, natural and medicinal goods...we even make our own hickory bark syrup. . At our little forest farm in Fishersville Virginia we specialize in Appalachian inspired creations and forest products. From herbs, forest medicinals and teas grown here on our farm to tables, chairs and decorative items we forage, grow, educate and produce all of our own creations!! In addition to all of this, we provide native landscape consultation as well as rustic building workshops. To place an order...just send us an email!!
